Yellow makes me happy (and is also known to make people hungry). So
Sheryl and Mike's wedding was a treat for both my eyes and my appetite.
From the bridesmaids' shoes to their signature drink (yum...lemon
drops!), everything inspired a smile and a taste. It was a bright, sunny
day in Jersey City and the perfect day for their spring-colored
wedding--Sheryl looked amazing, and Mike never looked happier. The Newark National Building was a real
visual treat as well. This revamped city bank made a grand entrance for
all their guests, and we even found an old bank vault for some rockin'
pictures of the bridal party (gangstah style)! And when grandma comes
over to dance with the bride and groom during their first dance, you
know everybody else had a good time as well.
It was a little rainy and a little chilly, but somewhere in Bayonne, New Jersey, Ailynn and Nick were having the party of their lives. Their love for travel inspired a full itinerary of travel-themed details for their special event--guests received travel tickets as an invitation to the wedding, found personalized luggage tags assigned to their tables, and enjoyed a luggage-shaped wedding cake at the end of the night. Props for having a graphic designer in the family (smile). Their grand ceremony at St. Henry Roman Catholic Church was followed by an explosion of bubble-guns and the most Filipinos and Chinese we'd ever seen together on a dance floor. And you know it's a party when you can get your guests to play musical chairs in high heels and human "chairs"!
At the end of their "Love Bound" celebration, we all knew Ailynn and Nick were embarking on a sweeter journey they were about to discover together. Thanks for sharing your big event with us! Don't forget to send us a postcard the next time you travel the world (smile).

Vera Wang. Blue Smoke. Christian Louboutin. The Foundry. These were just some of the few fabulous names from Linda and Winston's beautiful Long Island City, New York wedding. My favorite part? Bridesmaids wearing different colored dresses! Their intimate ceremony at this unique ex-factory was chic, casual and elegant, and topped off with some of the best barbecue in the city. Sauce included. Their wedding cake was also quite exquisitely delicious--red velvet cake with nutella (love!) from Alice's Tea Cup. Some bubble-blowing flower-girl-cuties and their precious pup, Tiny, even joined us for the festivities. It was a memorable day for more than just the bride and groom--and everything (especially Linda) was gorgeous!
For a story that began with a Twix bar, I'd say this was a pretty sweet way to tie the knot.
