"Goin' to the chapel and we're gonna get ma-a-a-rried!" All the morning jitters washed away as Gina's fun bridesmaids (and mother!) serenaded her with this happy tune on their way to the ceremony, decked out in White Trolley glam. With a stunning custom-made lace gown and Kate Spade beauties on her feet, Gina met her groom at St. Luke's Church to declare their vows. The newly weds then celebrated in style at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, NJ, where rolling hills and putting greens made a magical backdrop for their celebrity-like portraits. I don't know where Luke learned how to pose as fiercely as he did, but it blew our minds. And with those pearly whites that she brushed more than a few times in the morning (smile), Gina looked amazingly radiant in the perfect sunset. Congratulations, Gina and Luke! Thanks for sharing with us such a beautiful day.

Some days, taking nice pictures is easy--like when the sky opens up to perfect cloud formations, a golden, jaw-dropping sunset, and a gentle breeze blowing in the right direction so her veil trails ever so slightly behind her. On other days, mother nature pushes us to be better photographers.

It wasn't that the bride wasn't beautiful, or that their morning of tea ceremonies wasn't absolutely entertaining to watch, or that Naninas in the Park didn't have a gorgeous ballroom, or that their dance floor wasn't the party of a lifetime--Amy and Alan's wedding was everything a great wedding should be. But when downpour happened right before portrait time, we knew we were up against a challenge. A good one. And sure enough, being stuck under a single covering in Branch Brook Park actually became the best blessing we could have. Photography became the essence of what it had always been--light. And at the end of the day, we knew we hard learned a most valuable lesson--that we don't need amazing weather for amazing pictures. Thank you, Amy and Alan, for for climbing wet park benches and staying positive through it all (smile).

At the heart of downtown Manhattan, in the busy vicinity of Wall Street, is a stunning architectural wonder called Cipriani. It was the perfect place for Jess and Russell's dream wedding--throw in a gorgeous Pronovias gown and statement purple florals everywhere you looked, and this wedding was a definite win. The bride and groom met each other for the first time between the tall columns of this Manhattan marvel, and recited their vows within its enormous (seriously huge) atrium. This was definitely the way to have a dramatic wedding. Their live band ripped up the dance floor and even got the kids worked up for the entire evening! The whole event ended with an emotional bang summed up in tears of thankfulness for the ones who first taught them how to love one another. What did I tell ya....this wedding was a definite win (smile).
Take a look at their Battery Park engagement session photos.
