Mooooo. That was the background music for Kate and Steve's outdoor wedding at the Queens County Farm Museum. Everybody (including ourselves) had a good laugh during those momentary interruptions of the ceremony. Their country-charm wedding was more than appropriate for a couple who lived in a barn-shaped house (with their adorable pet ferret)! Kate and Steve had been waiting for this day for what feels like forever, and as they gathered to celebrate with their closest family and friends, it was an emotional day for everyone. Top it all off with some beef brisket, sweet potato fries, and parents getting funky on the dance floor, there were more than happy cows at the end of the day. Congratulations Mister and Misses--we're so honored to have shared these moments with you!

It was one of those weddings where you just couldn't help but notice how happy the bride and groom were that their day had finally come. For some, the initial excitement of wedding planning becomes so overwhelming during the final months that they just want to finish it all and look forward to the honeymoon--but for Maureen and Will, it was the day they could finally call themselves "husband and wife". And indeed, Will couldn't wait a minute more to proclaim it to the world (smile). We felt so privileged being there to capture all the bursts of laughter, tears of joy, moments of craziness, and pleasant surprises--but most of all, to witness a love story beginning their happily ever after.

It has always been important to us to capture the full story of the wedding day through our images. One way we do that is by having two photographers--two perspectives, two comparisons, two stories coming together as one. Tim and Fiona's wedding post is a good example of how we typically shoot every wedding--Wayne follows the groom, Angela follows the bride, and all the little details and expressions build up to the final moments of their single hood. Our two stories merge as the couple comes together for the first time on their wedding day, by which time we've both become so emotionally involved in the process that we can't help but to tear up a little ourselves! In this case, the entire bridal party was tearing up as Fiona walked down the aisle (smile).

There are different kinds of "cute"--one kind makes Angela's voice two octaves higher (when she sees fluffy, little things), and another is how we used to describe our celebrity crushes in high school (Wayne's was Katie Holmes). Tim and Fiona, however, have redefined cute. Seeing them so happy on their wedding day made everybody (including all the groomsmen) want to pinch their cheeks (which is precisely what they did). You just can't help but smile. They were even cute enough to dance their way back down the aisle, smiling from ear to ear. I would have pinched their cheeks, too, if it wasn't so inappropriate for photographers to do so!
