We've been flying to a new city every weekend this summer--this time, we're bringing the passports! We still remember how excited we were when Beatrice and Dustin invited us to La Romana, Dominican Republic for their destination wedding. It was an all-inclusive getaway for a few dozen of their closest family and friends, who were all greeted with hugs, gift bags, and a brand new pair of flip flops. The happy couple made sure everybody was there to have a splendid vacation together, but most importantly, that they would be there to witness their lovely beach-front wedding and celebrations. They had an intimate, candlelit reception on the seaside deck, where Dustin also learned a few (important) Cantonese phrases to use with his new wife! Thanks for having us there to celebrate with you!

We LOVE Hawaii! Macadamia nut pancakes, sea turtles, amazing coffee, beautiful beaches, extraordinary weather, and one of the best places to go on vacation. Oahu is at the top of our favorite places in the world. Of course, we weren't there (just) for vacation, but when you're in a place like that, it's hard not to feel like it! Jiwon and Eddie tied the knot on this dreamy island and celebrated their love with their closest friends and family at the gorgeous Halekulani Hotel in Waikiki. It was a joyful, emotional, and, in Eddie's words, "glorious" day--we couldn't be happier for the two of them! They have been rocking the photos since their engagement session in Urbana-Champaign, and this time, it was epic. So folks, prepare to be amazed.
One of the guilty pleasures of our job is traveling to gorgeous places like Cancun. And despite the heat and extreme humidity (like freaking out when our lenses started fogging up the moment we stepped outside for the ceremony), Cancun was as gorgeous as we thought it would be. Daina and Jeff's beach wedding at the CasaMagna Marriott Resort couldn't have been more beautiful with the pure aqua color of the ocean as their backdrop. After their night of festivities, we took advantage of being out there and did a day-after session around the area. We stumbled upon a beautiful beach near the bar district where the sand was so fine it felt like powder beneath our feet! (Another guilty pleasure--going to work in flip flops.) Congratulations you two! From all the secrets we learned about you from the rehearsal dinner speeches at the Fiesta Americana, we've decided that we'll have to play a round of UNO the next time we see each other so we can see how competitive you guys really are. We'll bring the guacamole.
And here are couple photos from the day-after session:
