Liz and Tom fell in love after meeting each other in church, and it was important to them that their shared faith was a big part of their wedding day. Their early morning started with a tradition of prayer in their homes before heading to the ceremony, and even on the limo ride over, they didn't waste a moment to read a few passages or sing a couple of their favorite hymns. After their big celebration with over 500 guests, we sneaked off to let the newly weds enjoy some alone time together (with us, of course), and took portraits around Rittenhouse Square. We even turned their honeymoon suite into a temporary portrait studio and rearranged all their furniture (smile). At the end of their long day, I'm sure Liz and Tom appreciated a little bit of quietness together--but in the silence, we could still tell how very excited they were to begin their lives together.

Last month, we had the chance to teach our very first behind-the-scenes workshop to a group of photographers. The two-day experience was designed to help each person to take their work to the next level, no matter what experience and skill level they were currently at. Both technical and business skills were emphasized to help them succeed in their own studios. In the two days, we made some incredible friendships, and we both realized that we have a love for teaching. It was amazing to see each of their eyes open up as they listened and went through the exercises, each inspired to go home and start improving their craft and business.

Erin and Andrew met in the least likely of places--the state capitol of New York in Albany. But when true love meets, even in such an unexpected location, one thing leads to another rather quickly--and before they knew it, they were taking their engagement photos right back at the place where it all began. We made the long drive to Albany just to witness this city that brought them together, and, of course, a little change of scenery always makes things more exciting! We explored and took pictures around the Capitol Building, all the while receiving a free tour by Erin herself! The architecture itself was enough to make us ooh and ahh as we walked through the arched stairways and grand chambers, not to mention learning about the famous people that have come through its very doors! It was a beautiful experience and we're so thankful that we had the opportunity to create some striking images at a place that held so much history within its walls.
