As much as we love Boston, the city seems to always greet us with some kind of downpour from the skies--in our three trips to Boston so far, we've run into snow, rain, hail, and flooding. But when you're in a city with as much history and beautiful architecture as Boston, rainy days are only a blessing. As our limos drove through the flooded streets after Amy and Ian's touching ceremony at the Boston Chinese Evangelical Church, we decided to move our portrait session into one of the most fabulous libraries in the world--the Boston Public Library in Copley Square. Amy looked so amazing on the staircase that we looked over and found Ian staring speechlessly at his new wife! Their Ritz-Carlton reception was no less fabulous, especially after the entire bridal party presented a choreographed dance to surprise everybody (and us) on the dance floor! It was one of those days where the weather outside was only a faded backdrop to the sunny celebrations we were witnessing with our bride and groom.
We love discovering sweet little details in Brooklyn. There is so much texture, energy, and pleasant surprises around every corner! It was Amanda and Andrew's first time there, and they were already in love with Brooklyn--especially after we showed them the best pizza in New York (smile). It had been over a hundred degrees all week long, yet despite the heat and stickiness, those love birds didn't mind being stuck together for an entire photo shoot. I'm sure getting married in two weeks had something to do with that! You guys were fabulous; we can't wait to make some awesome images with you again at your wedding in a few days!

We've been flying to a new city every weekend this summer--this time, we're bringing the passports! We still remember how excited we were when Beatrice and Dustin invited us to La Romana, Dominican Republic for their destination wedding. It was an all-inclusive getaway for a few dozen of their closest family and friends, who were all greeted with hugs, gift bags, and a brand new pair of flip flops. The happy couple made sure everybody was there to have a splendid vacation together, but most importantly, that they would be there to witness their lovely beach-front wedding and celebrations. They had an intimate, candlelit reception on the seaside deck, where Dustin also learned a few (important) Cantonese phrases to use with his new wife! Thanks for having us there to celebrate with you!
