It's never too late to take some nice engagement photos before the wedding, even in the midst of all the last-minute craziness. Maureen and Will are getting married tomorrow (5/22), and yet they still had time to spend an evening with us wandering the west side of Manhattan! We first met Will at a photography conference in Mystic, CT and are thrilled at the opportunity to shoot his wedding this weekend. An aspiring photographer himself, Will is lucky to have Maureen supporting him by his side, even if it just means watching his equipment for him at a couple of weddings (smile). We're excited to see how far these two will go after they tie the knot--you're almost there guys! It's almost time to partaaaay!
We first met Dave at one of our weddings last year, and after meeting his fiancée Kelly, they soon became known as our "food buddies". In fact, they were the ones who introduced us to our current local favorite, Rai Rai Ramen. Too bad they will not be catering their wedding this August (smile). We will be sad when they move to Maryland in a few months! Don't forget to come back for some good Asian food.
Their engagement session took place at the New Jersey Botanical Gardens--more like a hidden secret garden if you ask me. Between looking out for rattlesnakes and applying yummy-smelling bug spray, we had a good time chasing the sun and making sure Dave and Kelly were going home cross-eyed from looking at each other so closely in the face (smile). And there was no better way to end our evening than with a good meal and great company. Thanks for exploring with us, guys! See you at our next dinner reservation.

Yellow makes me happy (and is also known to make people hungry). So
Sheryl and Mike's wedding was a treat for both my eyes and my appetite.
From the bridesmaids' shoes to their signature drink (yum...lemon
drops!), everything inspired a smile and a taste. It was a bright, sunny
day in Jersey City and the perfect day for their spring-colored
wedding--Sheryl looked amazing, and Mike never looked happier. The Newark National Building was a real
visual treat as well. This revamped city bank made a grand entrance for
all their guests, and we even found an old bank vault for some rockin'
pictures of the bridal party (gangstah style)! And when grandma comes
over to dance with the bride and groom during their first dance, you
know everybody else had a good time as well.
