All those times we drove by that random field, caught a glimpse of the small, isolated waterfall by the highway, and stopped to glance at the river behind our building--we always thought they'd make great locations for an engagement session. Luckily, Gloria and Sean wanted a change of scenery from their neighborhood in Philadelphia, so we finally had our chance to explore these little gems hidden in our own backyard--welcome to Somerset, New Jersey.

An innocent "hello" in an old physics class turned into "marry me" a few years down the road. And although Gloria and Sean still have a few more years of textbooks and all-nighters to go, they are on their way to making a difference in people's lives. Well...at least for better eyes and teeth. But before they get there, they'll change their own in a couple months when their words become "I do".

The east coast had a pretty rough winter this year, and so did the cherry blossoms. But the few that survived our brutal winter became the perfect backdrop for Anna and Jeremy's engagement session--and thanks to the power of cropping, you can't even tell (smile). With a couple watts of juicy sunlight and Anna's cheerful personality--what we saw through our cameras surprised even us. We met Anna and Jeremy only a few weeks ago, but meeting them again felt like old friends. Perhaps because we all miss California? In any case, we had a great time climbing trees, catching the sun, and getting a just little muddy (sorry guys). We finally stopped when the sun disappeared, and, though we were a bit exhausted, it was definitely smiles all around.

We're excited about taking your wedding photos at St. Regis Monarch Beach, California next year! But only on one condition: we need to hit up In-N-Out as soon as we get there. Double-double, animal-style, special sauce, and boat-less fries. Drool.

I looooove Chelsea Market! Apparently so do Kym and Chris--so it became the perfect place to hit off our engagement session with the two of them. As we explored random nooks and corners of the extraordinary little building, we realized that it wasn't easy shooting in the crowded, dim space. Not so much because of the masses of people or the lack of natural lighting...but because we were surrounded by awesome food everywhere we walked and were starving by the end of the first two poses! We knew we had to get out of there--fast.

We arrived at Pier 45 just in time for the sun to peak through the clouds and give us an amazing sunset. Their faces were glowing despite the fact that it felt like winter all over again in the frigid wind. We were frozen solid and, frankly, quite concerned about little Kym in her strapless dress. "It's okay," Chris would say, "she's from Canada." Hahaha. They are having two weddings in Taiwan and New Jersey--and we know both of them will be quite the party...as long as Kym gets her shot of vodka in advance (smile).
