WPJA Q3 2009 Contest Winner!

We were very fortunate to have one of our images win a placement in the WPJA Q3 Contest. We made it to the top 10 images in the "Getting Ready" category. View more of the award winning wedding photography images from WPJA's Q3 Contest.

Congrats! It is funny I was looking through the contest winners and remembered liking this one. Turns out a few others I liked were by Emin who is also a Fred Miranda contributor. Great job and great to see you featured on SMP as well.

Yug & I are really awkward picture takers plus we're blinkers.... literally, the minute you countdown 1,2,3 .. we give you the creeper smeyes and blink even without a flash. >=T ... what are some ways you captivate that raw moment? The totally posed but natural moment?

Bayonne Park Engagement Photos // Ailynn + Nick

You know two people are in love when anything one person says will make the other laugh. Ailynn and Nick were just that. They brought us back to the place where Nick first asked Ailynn to be his--at Bayonne Park, New Jersey. Coincidentally, the church where they will be married in next year was just down the street! We caught the last of the autumn leaves before the trees became bare for the rest of the season. The fall colors, their laughter, Ailynn's happy-go-lucky charm--they were glowing in every frame. Plus, Ailynn has this awesome model face that she doesn't even know about! And Nick...wasn't so bad either (smile).

Urbana, Illinois Engagement Photos // Jiwon + Eddie

A walk down the Quad (check out the live quad cam) was like a walk down memory lane. For all four of us that is! We knew Jiwon and Eddie from church way back in college. So when we first saw the sparklies on Jiwon's ring finger, you can imagine our joy and surprise! Beware before you scroll: this couple can pull off a fierce "serious face"! And when you're wearing gorgeous boots, it makes it even better (Angela wants them; Wayne just wants a picture of them). The sun was setting at ridiculous hours at this time of year, so we ran over to Meadowbrook Park just before the sun disappeared...and it was perfect. And I mean, juicy perfect.

You guys rock like sweet potato fries. See you in Hawaii!
