The wedding season has officially slowed down for the year, but that
doesn't mean we slow down working! We've been constantly getting orders
for albums and prints. I love getting new albums in the mail because
the the smell of new leather is just so nice! Here's one of the few
albums that arrived this past week.

On Jan. 15th was the coldest day of the year in NYC. The temperature
was only in the single digits that day. Viet and Thi flew over from
Orange County, California the night before to take their wedding
portrait session. At first, I thought they were crazy to come from
sunny California to take photographs in the unbearable cold conditions.
Later I found out that they wanted to do four different portrait
sessions in the four seasons so they could display those images on
their wedding day. The snow and the city skylines made everything turn
out perfect!

Love the snowflakes on them.

This wedding was my last wedding for 2008. Juliet and Holden flew me
over to Los Angeles to capture their wedding in old town Pasadena.
There only a few churches in California that have the old, traditional
stain glass window churches. There were so many beautiful to places to
shoot around the church that we didn't have to spend that much time
going to other places. Before I arrived to California, I was very
excited to enjoy the warm weather. Little did I know the temperature
wasn't as warm as I thought it would be, but it was a great way to end
the season of weddings.

Lovely stain glass windows on the balcony of the church.

Juliet loves otters.

The MC dressed up for the holidays.

While I was scouting for places to take portraits, I was trying to find some nice scenic palm trees. We finally found some right next to the reception area, which makes this one of my favorite pictures of the night.
